Our Sacred Body

our sacred body

with Maryn spangler

the Blessings of embodiment

overview

February 27 - April 2 2025

Our Sacred Body is a journey into the sanctity of physical embodiment. Explore different aspects of your body’s intelligence and wisdom, create an inner context of safety, self love and nourishment, and experience your physical body as a doorway to mental, emotional and spiritual integration. This class will be both educational and experiential, weaving together conversation with somatic ritual.

description

Our body is the root of our spirit, the densest part of the incarnate soul.

Isn’t it funny that most of us learned the exact opposite?

We learned spirit was something incongruent with physicality; that the sacred was something to be sought outside of our incarnate selves; that the body was sin, something to be risen above, controlled and overcome. These teachings have been coded in to our collective consciousness over millennia, and whether we consciously participate in it or not, it’s a strong piece of context for the world we live in.

It’s time to rewrite this narrative, and embrace the sanctity of physical embodiment!

An interesting kind of magic happens when you come into loving awareness of presence within your body and care for it as you would a plant or a dear friendship. A blossoming occurs - an opening of your innermost self. Your body is supported in its natural integration process, your vital life force energy begins to flow unimpeded, orienting you towards coherency - you begin to hear your inner wisdom and naturally act from the fullness of your being.

This is the magic of embodiment! As you engage your body (and self) with love and honor, slowly but surely your tissues start relax and soften. Suppleness begins to replace rigidity. Ingrained, habitual patterns of being start to loosen, allowing you to love deeper, laugh harder, and live fuller.

So how do you begin this process? What does your body need to thrive? How does your body talk to you? And how do you slowly, gently, reintegrate the wholeness of your being through your body? This will be the transformation that Our Sacred Body will take you on.
